A thief in Forest Hills has been using a bike as his getaway vehicle, and the NYPD has had it up to here with his shenanigans. Which is sad because, as we know, the NYPD has always had such a great relationship with the city’s bikers.
The suspect is wanted in connection with five thefts over the past month, and they all follow the same formula: the suspect approaches the victim on his bike, snatches something off of them and quickly pedals away. He has stolen four chains off teenage boys and snatched a woman’s purse at 62nd Drive and Junction Boulevard. The first four robberies were done on a red bike, but the bandit upgraded to a silver BMX bike with red pegs for the last one.
